Just for today, I will live with gratitude.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will not anger.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will have respect for every living thing.

What is Reiki?

In Japanese, the term Reiki (霊気、レイキ) loosely translates to “mysterious atmosphere.”
The symbol 霊 meaning the supernatural, and 気 representing life force.

To practice Reiki, as well as to receive it, is to be attuned to the heartbeat of nature.

Reiki alludes to the essence of things, the universal energy that flows through all vessels, including places and bodies.

To work with Reiki energy is to work with the universal energy fields. In some cultures we call this Aura, in others we call it spirit. To practice Reiki is to be moved by the spirit, involving the transfer of universal energy by the Reiki practitioner to the receiver.

What is the goal of Reiki?

The goal of Reiki is to increase the amount of life force energy that is running through the body and to help it flow smoothly throughout all areas of the body. The Reiki practitioner is attuned to the flow of Universal energy, and helps to guide the flow of energy in others through the body’s meridian lines, also known as acupuncture lines.

Within the meridians are certain areas of condensed energy called chakras. These chakras are the storehouses of life force energy. Through the special technique of Reiki, these energy meridians are activated, and restored to their proper functioning.
